Honesty is Kindness

This is not about a license to be a jerk, or to be cruel. Honesty is about telling someone when they could be better and when they’re absolutely crushing it. Teams need to know they’re getting an honest appraisal, and that it’s your appraisal and no one else’s to succeed.

Stay Curious

I’m always willing to ask questions, and I think we all should be. Even if we feel like we “definitely know,” something, how are we sure that hasn’t changed? Challenging norms and being willing to “sound dumb” push us all forward.

I ripped this straight from HubSpot’s culture code, mainly because I saw, first hand, how incredible a culture it can build. At it’s foundation this is a simple concept, but many of us are guilty of trying to “elevate” our teams and missing what we really need to solve for.

Law of Abundance

I believe there’s more than enough to go around. I don’t resource guard, and I want to build what we need to with what we have available, in both human resources and tool resources.
